• eCampus Summer School 2019
eCampus summer 2019 dates are Wed., May 29th-Tues., July 23rd.
Read ALL information below before registering

    Registration

All in-district students are enrolled in eCampus courses via their home school's guidance counselor. Please see the in-district registration page for more information on how to sign up for eCampus courses. Out-of-district students will need to follow the out-of-district registration process.  The last day to enroll in eCampus summer school courses is Monday, June 3rd.

    Workload

Students enrolled in full credit courses will be required to log at least 800 minutes each week (about 14 hrs).  Half credit courses remain at 400 weekly minutes (about 7 hrs).  Due to the workload, we recommend that students only take one full credit or two half-credit courses over the summer, especially if the student has not previously taken an online course.  Students are much more successful in our summer program if they stick to these recommendations.  An approximate breakdown of student time for a full credit course is shown below:

    Summer Full-Credit Courses
    Semester...............................................113 hours
    Week (7 weeks)..................................14 hours
    7-day work week................................2 hr-2hr 15 min
    5-day work week................................2 hr 20-2 hr 30 min

Students have some flexibility as to time, place, and pace.  However, students must maintain the minimum pace set by the instructor as due dates will be set throughout the course.

    Final Exam

eCampus final exams will take place on Mon., July 22nd and Tues., July 23rd on the campus of Peoria High School.  Students will have an opportunity to select their final exam appointment from these two dates and different time options will be provided.  More information about the various time slots will be presented at orientation.

    Summer School Payment

eCampus summer school is a tuition based program.  Therefore, all students pay for their eCampus summer school courses.  Scholarships are not available.  Full payment is due by Monday, June 3rd.  In addition, the last day to enroll is June 3rd.  The last day to request a refund is Thursday, June 6th.  The cost is:

    • $150 per half credit course
    • $300 per full credit course

eCampus summer school payment can be made three ways:

    • At the in-person orientation on Wed., May 29th.  Cash, check, and credit card payments (American Express not accepted) will be accepted the evening of orientation.
    • Online via ParentVUE.  If you don't have a ParentVUE account, you will need to visit your student's home school to setup your ParentVUE account.
    • District Administration Center | 6330 W. Thunderbird Rd., Glendale, AZ 85306 | 623.486.6000 | Credit card, cash, check or money orders are accepted at this location.| Please call for summer school hours of operation between May 29th-July 26th.

    In-Person Orientation

The eCampus in-person orientation takes place at the start of each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) on the campus of Peoria High School.  The purpose of the eCampus in-person orientation is to:

    1. Have the student/parent meet the eCampus instructor.
    2. Receive important information on how to get started on the course (e.g., online course access).

The orientation is one of the few in-person meetings between the student and teacher.  Therefore, attendance at the orientation is mandatory for ALL students.  Parents are highly encouraged to attend the orientation with their students.  Students who don't attend the in-person orientation must complete the steps below.  If the steps are not completed by Monday, June 3rd, students will be automatically dropped from their eCampus courses.

    1. Email their eCampus instructor.  Please visit the staff list page for eCampus teacher emails.
    2. Log time in the student tracking system.
    3. Log into the eCampus Moodle course.

The instructor may request the student attend a makeup orientation.  The date, time, and location of the makeup orientation will be provided once the student has communicated with the instructor via their Peoria Unified student email account.  If a student is dropped from his/her course, the student will need to contact the eCampus office at 623.412.5345 to be readmitted in the course.  Failure to contact our office within one week of eCampus start date (May 29th) will result in the student not being allowed readmittance in the eCampus course.

    In-Person Orientation Schedule

The in-person orientation schedule lists the exact date, time, and location (e.g., room number) of all eCampus course orientations.  The orientation is held on the campus of Peoria High School (PHS) and will take place on Wednesday, May 29th.  Some course orientations start at 6:00 p.m. and others begin at 7:00 p.m.  It is critical you review the orientation schedule carefully so that you attend at the correct time.  Students must attend an orientation for each course they are enrolled in.  You can download and/or print the orientation schedule by clicking on the link below.  We recommend downloading the orientation schedule and watching the short video below before you come to Peoria High School so you know where your sessions are located.
