Family Resource Center
The Peoria Unified School District has partnered with First Things First to provide families with Resource Centers at three locations.
The Peoria Unified Family Resource Center is designed to provide parents and caregivers the tools they need to support the learning and development of their young children. We do this by offering information, resources & referrals, as well as providing programming for families with children age birth to 5. Programming includes parent/child interactive activities, as well as workshops and trainings for parents and caregivers. ALL programs are free to families.
Funding for the Family Resource Centers comes from the Family Support Strategy of First Things First and focuses on strengthening families with young children and preparing them for kindergarten. Strong families are the building blocks of strong communities; it is critical parents have the necessary resources and tools to provide their children with stable nurturing environments, especially in the earliest years.
