Four-year universities often have strict admission requirements. It is best to research requirements directly on the website of the university to check for specific requirements. Students applying outside of Arizona or to multiple schools may want to consider using The Common Application.

Arizona Public University Requirements
Earn a C or better in the following 16 Core Competency Courses:
- 4 credits of English
- 4 credits of math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and at least one math class beyond Algebra II).
- 3 credits of lab science (preferably 3 different areas of science - biology, chemistry, physics/physical, earth science, environmental science) - check each website for specifics
- 2 credits of social studies (World History, AZ/US History, Economics/Government)
- 2 credits of world language (level one and two of the same language)
- 1 credit of a fine art or CTE
Arizona Universities typically require ONE of the following for admission:
- 3.0 GPA (unweighted)
- top 25% in graduating class
- Qualifying ACT or SAT scores (check each website)
