On-Site Support (Updated 9/17)
As we work to bring students back to school as safely as possible, we are also working to transition out of on-site support and begin offering KidZone and AM/PM before and after school programs.
As a reminder, KidZone is the before and after school program ran by Peoria Unified employees and is offered on select elementary school Peoria Unified campuses located in the city of Glendale. The AM/PM program is the before and after school program ran by the City of Peoria offered on all Peoria Unified elementary school campuses located in Peoria.
The following timeline details Peoria Unified’s transition out of on-site support and into before and after school programming:
September 21 - 25
On-site support will still be offered for third- through eighth-grade students on their current campuses. No before and after school programs will be offered.
September 28 - October 2
KidZone staff will close on-site support rooms, complete required training and prepare DHS licenses for KidZone classrooms. All students will be back on campus. No on-site support will be offered. While KidZone will not be available in Peoria Unified’s Glendale schools until next week, the City of Peoria’s AM/PM will begin on Monday, Sept. 28 in our Peoria schools, following safety procedures outlined in the Reopening of Schools plan.
October 5 - 9
KidZone will begin on Peoria Unified’s eight campuses in Glendale, following safety procedures outlined in the Reopening of Schools plan.
