According to Americans for the Arts, the Arts improve individual well-being. 81% of the population says the Arts are a “positive experience in a troubled world,” 69% of the population believe the arts “lift me up beyond everyday experiences,” and 73% feel the arts give them “pure pleasure to experience and participate in.” When Peoria Unified’s 37,000 students learn in and through the Arts, this access helps them to see and interpret the world around them and allows them to participate in and celebrate what the Arts bring to us all showing them how they too can shape and be a part of the world around them now and in the future.
Today, on day five of the virtual 2021 Peoria Arts and Cultural Festival, Peoria Unified is excited to share with you and showcase the creativity that is inspired by our Educators and their students from Peoria High School and its feeder schools; Alta Loma Elementary, Cheyenne Elementary, Peoria Elementary, Santa Fe Elementary, and Sky View Elementary.
