In a recent survey from Americans for the Arts, 91 percent of Americans believe that the Arts are vital to providing a well-rounded education. In Peoria Unified, we believe access and opportunity for our 37,000 students is critical to the education of our students and we will continue to ensure students have access to opportunities in the Arts!
Today, as we close our 7th and final day of the virtual 2021 Peoria Arts and Cultural Festival, Peoria Unified would like to say thank you to our community for the continued support for the Arts in Peoria Unified. We have been so excited to have been able to share so many incredible examples of the creativity and imagination of our visual and performing Arts students and to hear how the access and opportunities to the Arts in Peoria Unified have helped shape our students learning every day and for their future.
We will close this year’s virtual Peoria Arts and Cultural Festival with the work of students at Sunrise Mountain High School and its feeder schools; Apache Elementary, Coyote Hills Elementary, Frontier Elementary, Parkridge Elementary, and Peoria Traditional Elementary.
