Students engaged in Arts learning have higher GPAs, standardized test scores, and college-going rates as well as lower drop-out rates. Research indicates that the Arts help to teach children that problems can have more than one solution and that questions can have more than one answer which helps improve academic performance.
Today, on day three of our virtual 2021 Peoria Arts and Cultural Festival, Peoria unified invites you to discover how access to the Arts in Peoria Unified provides opportunities for students’ academic success by viewing just some of the outstanding pieces of artwork and performances that yield from the questions that Educators pose to students in our Arts classrooms each day. Join us in exploring student’s work and performances from Liberty High School and its feeder schools; Lake Pleasant Elementary, Sunset Heights Elementary, Vistancia Elementary, and Zuni Hills Elementary.
