A work-based learning opportunity is an extension of the classroom. Through an individualized training plan, employers serve as mentors and provide students with meaningful training experiences that address their career goals and meet state technical standards. Students are held to the same standards as other company employees and complete projects and tasks as determined by the teacher and employer. Teachers provide training and additional supervision during site visits. By working together, employers and teachers help train students for life.
