What is Title 1?

  • Title I is a federally funded program that supports the school in the areas of communication, parental involvement, and meeting student academic needs.  A school qualifies for Title I funds based on the number of free/reduced lunches.  Sun Valley’s Title I program is school wide and assists all grade levels K-8 in the areas of  reading and math.

How does Title 1 help Sun Valley students?

The SV Title I program has assisted with funding and resources in many areas on campus.
    ¨ K-3 Literacy Lab
    ¨ Reading Intervention
    ¨ Technology
¨ Campus wide literacy & math tutoring
    ¨ Parent Involvement Programs

Don't forget!

  • When school resumes, your child will be bringing home a School-Wide Compact.  This paperwork is required by the Federal Government for every Title I School.

Please review the compact with your child, sign and promptly return the form to your child's teacher.  This will ensure that the Title I Team will be able to service students.
