August 16: Senior Information Night
Dear Seniors and Senior Parents,
Thanks for your engagement at Senior Information Night this week. If you were unable to join us, you can use the links below to review the handouts and presentation materials:
Dates Are Subject to Change
Our presentation concluded with some important tasks, which we’ll share again here:
- Encourage your Coyote to attend the August 31st application workshops for all in-state universities (ASU, U of A, NAU, Grand Canyon, etc.).
- Mark your calendar for the financial aid FAFSA Workshop planned for October 3rd, 2022. It’s our goal for every family to complete the 45-minute FAFSA application! As we explained this week, students who complete FAFSA are not only eligible for aid; they can also qualify for scholarships as a result of completing the application. Help Centennial stay #1 in FAFSA in PUSD!
- Make plans to attend the College Fair on Wednesday, October 26th at 6pm. Dozens of college, university, trade school, and military representatives will be on-hand to visit with our families.
- Book a senior yearbook photo session at Prestige Photography prior to November 12th. Remember that seniors must take their pictures with Prestige in order to appear in the yearbook.
- Be sure to order your cap and gown: The Jostens document provides instructions, and while most families place their orders online, Jostens will visit Centennial on September 22nd for in-person orders.
- Continue to check our Class of 2023 website for updates regarding your Coyote’s final year at Centennial. Simply save www.peoriaunified.org/CeHSseniors to find all the information you’ll need as we prepare for graduation on May 25th, 2023.
We’re looking forward to the Senior Sunrise next Friday, August 26th at 6am in the Stadium! Please contact our office if we can help you in any way.
Mr. Hollabaugh
Principal

October 3: Financial Aid/FAFSA Support
FAFSA is one of the most important tasks your senior will complete as he/she prepares for next steps beyond high school. The 45-minute application can open doors to financial aid AND even if your family isn’t awarded financial aid, FAFSA can expand your son or daughter’s opportunities for scholarships that require FAFSA completion. It’s our goal for every Centennial senior to complete FAFSA. You can read this article to find out why FAFSA is important for everyone.
Beginning October 1st, you can complete FAFSA on your own by visiting www.fafsa.gov or you can let us help you!
On Monday October 3rd, Centennial will host its annual FAFSA Open House Workshop for seniors and their parents. Just arrive in the Library anytime between 2:30 and 6:30pm. Our School Counselors and Career Center Specialist will be on-hand to answer questions and guide families through the application process.
Please review the information below to understand what you can bring on Monday to support a smooth FAFSA experience:
