Sembrando Semilas (Sowing Seeds) Family Workshop

Parenting Arizona's Sembrando Semilas (Sowing Seeds) Youth Program is offering two free virtual workshops for parents their tweens/teens; ages 11 years to 18 years and 11 months. A minimum of 1 parent and 1 tween/teen from the same home need to register and the family must live in Maricopa County. 

Active Parenting of Teens (for parents) Workshop: topics covered are "active" parenting, drugs & sexuality, power struggles, teen behavioral goals, responsibility, problem-solving, self-esteem, strategies to reduce risk, and more. Offers 6 sessions (2 hours each) for 6 weeks total, and offered in English and Spanish. 

Teen Prevention Program Workshop: topics covered are self-care, communication, myths & denial, chemical dependency, stress, health, & goals, self-control, positive/negative thought & behavioral loops, decision-making, and more. Offers 6 sessions (2 hours each) for 6 weeks total, and offered in English.
