Cadence Deevers, September 2019

September Centennial Rotary Student of the Month

Nominated by Mrs. Jessica Davey, CeHS Math Teacher

Introduced by Mrs. Jenna Ely, CeHS Future Educators and Internship Teacher

Ms. Deevers is always seen with a smile on her face and has a positive attitude that uplifts those she is around, peers and teachers alike. Cadence is always looking for ways to get involved in campus life as well as the community. She is currently Ed Rising secretary and is involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, and CenRen, where she is assisting in creating a t-shirt design. In the past Cadence has taken honors courses and was a member of the yearbook staff. Every other week she volunteers in the nursery at her church and spent a large portion of her summer volunteering at a pregnancy center. Throughout her tenure at Centennial High School Ms. Deevers has worked hard and made a lasting impact on our campus and has chosen to graduate in December. Her zest for life is unmatched by few and she is always encouraging others and helping them to recognize the positive each day, even when hard times arise. I remember one day when her lunch of tomato soup exploded in her backpack and everything became drenched she was still smiling and carrying on with her upbeat attitude.  Cadence always puts others before herself and there is never a day where she isn't looking for a way to change her world for the better.
