Peoria Unified Receives Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Peoria Unified School District was recently awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. The Certificate of Excellence demonstrates Peoria Unified’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and financial reporting.

Peoria Unified earned the Certificate of Excellence for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020. This award demonstrates the district has met the COE program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency.

Peoria Unified maintains copies of audited financial statements, budgets and related reports on the District Budget & Annual Financial Reports webpage. Individuals can search annual financial reports by year and view information how Peoria Unified spends dollars in the classroom.

“We are thrilled to receive the Certificate of Excellence for three consecutive years in a row,” stated Peoria Unified’s Chief Financial Officer, Michelle Myers. “The district is focused on accurate financial reporting, transparency and stewardship of community resources.”
