Peoria Unified Grads Break Records

The Peoria Unified School District is proudly celebrating the class of 2023 for securing over $78 million in scholarships to post-secondary institutions, increasing last year’s record scholarships by more than $5 million. The total includes scholarships for in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities, merit- based recognitions, private donors, athletic scholarships and vocational schools. Centennial, Ironwood, Liberty, Raymond S. Kellis and Sunrise Mountain high schools all celebrate a school record amount in scholarship offers with their graduates. Below is a breakdown of the Peoria Unified high school scholarship amounts:

2023 Total Scholarships


A few highlights from this year include the following:

  • Liberty High School’s scholarship totals include 79 full tuition Lumberjack scholarships to Northern

    Arizona University, and a variety of out-of-state universities to esteemed institutions like Baylor Point

    Loma and American Musical Theatre.

  • Raymond S. Kellis High School’s graduates include acceptance letters to the Air Force Academy, MIT,

    and Johns Hopkins University.

  • Sunrise Mountain High School’s graduates include students accepted to Biola University, a full Air

    Force ROTC tuition scholarship, the esteemed Vanderbilt University, and an Army ROTC full tuition


  • Cactus High School’s scholarships include a Navy ROTC scholarship and acceptance to Rose-Hulman

    Institute of Technology.
