At the April 9 Governing Board Meeting, Peoria Unified Governing Board members approved two new elementary school principals to lead in the 2020-21 school year.
Mrs. Paige Brill was appointed to the position of Principal at Sun Valley Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year. Brill currently serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning: Innovation and Intervention for the Alhambra Elementary School District. Since 2003, Brill served in the roles of teacher, coach, program coordinator, assistant principal, principal and director within Alhambra. Mrs. Brill has a bachelor’s degree from Western Oregon University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on English as a Second Language, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Mrs. Tonja Neve was appointed to the position of Principal at Desert Valley Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year. Neve currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Lake Pleasant Elementary School. She has been serving as a certified administrator and classroom instructor within Peoria Unified since 2007, at the elementary and high school levels. Neve has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, also from Arizona State University.
