CENTENNIAL 35 CIENEGA 0
Richard Smith, West Valley Preps: "Once again, the Centennial defense is strong enough to cure any hangover... Despite struggling to refocus after last week’s landmark win over Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, Centennial (3-0) ended up pulling away from their always-solid Tucson area foe. And the Coyotes recorded a 35-0 shut out after seeing a blanking of the Gaels disappear in the final seconds. Click here to read the rest of the article.
CENTENNIAL 13 BISHOP GORMAN 7
Richard Obert, Arizona Republic: "Feeling underrated and under-appreciated, Peoria Centennial on Friday night did what it does best when much of the country is watching – take down a powerhouse... Last year, it shut out St. Thomas Aquinas 12-0, getting a late score from Zidane Thomas to put it away. It looked like Centennial would follow that script Friday, after Tawee Walker's second touchdown, a 9-yard bolt with 1:36 left, gave the Coyotes a 13-0 lead...
