Purchase of 2020-21 Student Parking Pass Information

Thank you for your patience as we finalized our plans for students to purchase parking passes ($75) for the 2020-2021 school year. Please make sure to read this entire message as it contains very important information on our new student parking pass purchasing procedures.

 

Due to our increasing school enrollment, we are projecting on campus parking may be available only to senior students. For student parking passes remaining after the distribution to senior students, a lottery will be used to distribute the remaining parking passes to junior students. Junior students co-enrolled in off campus programs such as West-Mec, the MET academy, ROTC, and all other sister-school programs will be given priority in the lottery, but they are still not guaranteed a parking pass. If a junior student unenrolls or drops from their off-campus program, their parking pass will be revoked.

All interest survey’s must be completed by JUNE 19th. All students who submit surveys after the due date will be placed on the waitlist regardless of grade level. If your student has any debts or fees these should be paid prior to completing a parking pass interest survey. To pay fees online, please click this link for directions. Past debts can be seen now. 2020-2021 school year fees should be available to view and pay by July 10th.

 

Families will be notified the week of June 29th if their student has a parking pass reserved for purchase. An email will be sent to the families of students who have a spot reserved for purchase containing the necessary paperwork and an appointment signup to reserve a purchase day/time.

 

We have tentatively scheduled July 20th & July 21st from 8 am to 2 pm for our parking pass purchase dates. Students who do not purchase their reserved pass via an appointment will forfeit their pass to the next student on the waitlist. Parking pass applications will not be processed if a student has unpaid debts or fees.

Q—We will be out of town during July 20th - 21st when parking passes can be purchased. What do we do?

Setup an appointment using the signup that will be sent out the week of June 29th and have a family member or friend turn in all necessary paperwork and payment.

 

Q—My student does not have their driver license yet. Can they get a parking pass now?

If your student will have their license by the first day of school, August 5th, they may purchase a parking pass with a copy of their driving permit. The pass will not be provided to the student until a copy of their driver license is brought in.

 

If your student will have their license after the first day of school, August 5th, please email Mrs. Rituper at krituper@pusd11.net your student’s name and expected license date to add their name to the parking waitlist.

 

Q—Can my student request a specific parking spot?

No, spots will be randomly assigned based on the road in which students arrives to school.

 

Q—Can my sophomore get a parking pass if they are 16 and have their driver license?

No. Because of limited space, on campus parking is for junior and senior students only.
