Families across the West Valley are invited to attend Peoria Unified’s second annual Family Connections Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Peoria High School, 11200 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria. This event will be held in the school’s main gym and is free to the public. Last year, more than 50 community partners attended, providing support and resources to more than 400 attendees.

 

Hosted by Peoria Unified’s Family Resource Center in partnership with First Things First, the Family Connections Fair is a one-stop shop for family-friendly activities, essential resources and community support.

 

Attendees can look forward to:   

  • STEM activities presented by Maricopa County

  • Learning more about Peoria Unified programs including the eCampus Virtual School and award-winning CTE programs

  • Giveaways, games and hands-on fun for kids

  • More than 30 community partners offering services and support for families


Peoria Unified’s Family Resource Center provides parents and caregivers with the tools they need to support the learning and development of their young children, with an emphasis on building strong families and helping to prepare children for preschool and kindergarten. This is accomplished by offering referrals to outside organizations and providing educational programming for families with children, ages from birth to five-years-old.
