WHY CTE
Peoria Career and Technical Education focuses on active learning with courses that engage students in relevant coursework and project-based learning for high-demand career pathways.
Peoria Unified students are able to personalize their education based on their career interests and unique learning needs. Students have the opportunity to earn college credits, industry certifications, and gain hands-on experience and professional skills for postsecondary success.
COLLEGE CREDIT
We partner with the following colleges and universities to offer dual enrollment so our students can earn college credit in a cost-effective way during high school to get ahead.

WORK BASED LEARNING
Work-based learning is a critical component within the Peoria CTE programs. Students participate in field experiences, clinical rotations, and internships to practice their skills within industry to gain mentorship and coaching for future success.
INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS
Peoria CTE students can earn industry certifications while they are in high school to demonstrate a mastery of knowledge and/or skills. Industry certifications can increase job prospects, marketability to employers and postsecondary institutions.
