Our amazing 8th grade team — Mya, Gage, Siena, Bella, and Vivien — competed today in the Project Citizen State Showcase alongside their Social Studies/Civics teacher, Ms. O’Connor!

The students received a Superior rating for their portfolio, which focused on Mental Health in Schools. Their project explored the impact that academic pressures and home life stress can have on students and school communities.

During their presentation, the team discussed current policies while also introducing their own proposed policy designed to support students facing these challenges. They thoughtfully explained why their policy would be beneficial and how stronger support systems can positively impact student success and well-being.
