The graduation seals aim to highlight a student’s mastery in specific coursework along with additional examinations and extracurricular activities. Students with diploma seals stand out when applying for scholarships, internships, colleges or jobs, gain valuable experience in the field of student and network with like-minded individuals. Additionally, graduates are recognized at graduation with a specialized medal and diploma and earn a special recognition on their high school transcript.
This year, Emily Ramirez Sanchez, Senior at Centennial High School, was the first student in Peoria Unified to earn the Seal of Biliteracy in two languages: French and Spanish. She plans to attend the University of Arizona to study engineering.
“I am incredibly proud of these students who continue to go above and beyond in their education,” shared Superintendent Dr. KC Somers.
Peoria Unified will celebrate the Class of 2026 during graduations open to the public. Additional information, including dates, times and locations, can be found at www.peoriaunified.org/graduation.
