21st Century Grant

Cotton Boll was awarded the The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant in 2022. This federal funding source is dedicated to out-of-school time programs. These grants are awarded to state education agencies, which then distribute them to local entities like schools and community organizations to provide academic enrichment, youth development, and family engagement services to students and schools during after-school and summer hours.

Purpose and Services:

The program helps students meet academic achievement standards in core subjects, like reading and math.

It offers a variety of enrichment activities that complement regular school-day programs.

Services often include literacy and other educational activities for the families of participating children.
