Last November, Superintendent Dr. KC Somers launched Somers' Spotlight, an all-new employee recognition program that gives parents the opportunity to recognize Peoria Unified staff's commitment to every student, every day.
Cotton Boll's Crossing Guard and Lunch Aide, Margaret Crabtree was recently honored as a Somers' Spotlight. From morning hugs at the crosswalk to comforting students, she goes above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of students. A parent shared, "we love her smile and all the ways she helps my daughter feel loved at school."
