Last November, Superintendent Dr. KC Somers launched Somers' Spotlight, an all-new employee recognition program that gives parents the opportunity to recognize Peoria Unified staff's commitment to every student, every day.
Giovanna Donati, English Language Arts teacher, was recognized for the way she celebrates her students and ensures that each student has what they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Her nominator shared, "she consistently goes above and beyond her role as a teacher. From guiding my son during his very first college visit to writing a thoughtful letter of recommendation, she has supported him in ways we will never forget."
