Last November, Superintendent Dr. KC Somers launched Somers' Spotlight, an all-new employee recognition program that gives parents the opportunity to recognize Peoria Unified staff's commitment to every student, every day.
Diana Burdzy, Medical Assisting Teacher, was recognized as a Somers' Spotlight. She was honored for the countless hours she spends securing clinical placements, setting high expectations and treating her students like future professionals. One parent shared, "When adults are passionate about what they do, they pass that onto their students and Ms. Burdzy embodies this."
