Peoria Unified expands access to high quality early childhood education with new full-day, five-day preschool programs

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Peoria Unified School District is excited to announce the expansion of its early childhood offerings with the addition of new full-day, five-day preschool programs launching for the 2026–27 school year. This expansion builds upon Peoria Unified’s longstanding commitment to delivering exceptional early learning experiences and follows the district’s continued recognition as a state leader in preschool quality, with 13 programs rated Quality Plus or Highest Quality by Quality First, a signature program of First Things First.

Registration is expected to open Monday, March 9 and spaces may fill quickly.

Peoria Unified’s newest full-day, five-day preschool programs will be offered at Cotton Boll, Frontier and Lake Pleasant Elementary Schools, expanding upon the district’s existing part-day, four-day and developmental preschool options. Previously, Desert Palms and Frontier Elementary Schools added full-day programs for the 2025–26 school year; the move to a five-day weekly model provides families even greater access, consistency and support.
