Earning College Credits While in High School
-
There are a variety of ways to earn college credits while in high school. In most cases, credit earned can be included on your high school transcript. Students can concurrently enroll in Maricopa Community Colleges and even AZ universities. However, students must be registered as a full-time student at their high school. 9th-11th grade students must still maintain 8 credits/courses for the year. Seniors must be enrolled in high school for all graduation requirements. Concurrent college enrollment is in addition to a full-time high school schedule. Speak to your school counselor for clarification and further instructions. It is imperative to submit a Concurrent College Credit Request Form to your counselor prior to taking a college course for high school credit.
