Finding Support within Peoria Unified School District

  • All Peoria Unified high school students are assigned a School Counselor. Counselors offer short-term support to manage emotional health and equip students with problem-solving strategies. Counselors can connect students and families to community resources when long-term support is required.

Some high schools and elementary schools are staffed with social workers or mental health counselors.  They can provide more extensive assistance and resources to students and families.

All Peoria Unified high schools have a school resource officer to provide support on their campus.

Peoria Unified also has a Safe School Line, 623-486-6199, for students, parents and community members to anonymously report threats or suspicious activity. Please visit the Peoria Unified School Safety website for more information.
