The Sunflower School originally opened in 1991 and was known as the “K-8 Sunflower Center.” At that time, it started small and has grown over the years. Currently, our school serves approximately thirty students who have multiple disabilities in pre-kindergarten through high school. The Sunflower School has become well-known and students come from all over the district to have their unique needs met. Having the Sunflower School on Canyon’s campus allows for life-long lessons of compassion for all learners. We strive to include everybody, no matter the ability or disability.
