WELCOME to Peoria Elementary School! My name is Brenda LoPresto and I am so proud to be the principal of Peoria Elementary. I have been an elementary school principal for over 15 years and have a strong tie to this community. I attended both Peoria Elementary and Peoria High School for Kindergarten through 12th grade. This is my 30th year in education and have taught all grades PK-8th including special education. I am married with two children. Both my husband and daughter are teachers in the Peoria Unified School District and our son is proudly serving in the Navy. As you can see, Peoria is the place for me!
Peoria Elementary has a history for being a community school where families return generation after generation to a supportive family culture. It is my intent to continue to carry out these important traditions and practices, firmly establishing a culture focused on student learning and high expectations. Peoria Pirates are "Anchored in Learning." Students are taught to be SAFE, RESPECTFUL and RESPONSIBLE.
Mrs. Kim Mendez, our assistant principal, brings her experience of over 18 years in education to our students and school. She is a strong believer in doing all she can to help students grow and be the best they can be. She has a heart for kids and is excited to watch our students grow each year.
I believe that school and home should be a team working together to support each child as an individual. I look forward to working with each family. Please feel free to contact the front office or me with any questions. Together as partners in education, we can make the difference in your child’s education and future.
Sincerely, Brenda LoPresto
Proud Peoria Principal
