Clubs & Activities

  • Desert Palms has a wide variety of clubs and activities for our students, including: Arts, Media, National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), Student Council and Yearbook. Additional information for each of these clubs and activities is outlined below. 

Arts

  • Desert Palms offers the following Arts education programs:

Media

  • The Media team is committed to provide up-to-date information to the staff and students of Desert Palms through the use of live feed newscasts daily. Students learn a wide variety of technical skills and programs to create and entertain in an informative newscast. The Media team meets weekly and works in teams to produce their show.

NJHS

  • The National Junior Honor Society serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since it's inception in 1921.

Student Council

  • Desert Palms' StuCo builds responsible leaders, models of character and engaged learners. Through student council, our leaders will provide support to the whole school community and provide role models to their fellow students.

Yearbook

  • The Desert Palms yearbook staff is driven to create a visual collectioin of images which provide them and their families with a wide variety of the Firebird experience. The Jr. High students who comprise our yearbook staff work throughout the year, diligently, to publish a professional, impactful and fun yearbook.
