Vistancia Steel Drums, know as "Iron Pans" is a unique program that is offered to students in grades six through eighth that are also enrolled in the Vistancia Band program. Students learn the Pans and perform Caribbean, Classical and Pop styles of music.  The Steel Drum program has two performance level  groups, the 6th-grade and the 7/8th-grade groups. Students attend regularly scheduled rehearsals before school beginning at 7 am. The 7/8th-grade “Iron Pans” has been featured on every local network station, performed for various local venues, Washington DC for the National Blue Ribbon conference.  The most popular performance within students is the yearly Disney performance!
