Parent Drop-off/Pick-up

Safety is our priority.  Maintaining the safety of students, staff, and community members is at the center of what we and that is the driving focus behind our Drop-off and Pick-procedures.  Please note the major points for each time period and refer to the map as needed.

• Our Drop-off/Pick-up line will continue to be along the southbound lane of 77^th Avenue only.  During these time periods, drivers are only permitted to make right hand turns into the parking lot. 
• The City of Peoria has instituted a NO LEFT TURN law for northbound drivers attempting to enter campus during AM drop-off (7am – 8am) and PM pick-up (2:30pm – 3:30pm).  
• Do not park anywhere along Mountain View.  This is a posted NO PARKING zone.  Parking along this street creates safety concerns, not to mention it is a citation zone.
• Our parking lot is one-way traffic.  You may only enter along 77^th Avenue and you may only exit onto Mountain View. 
• At all times, parents need to remain in the vehicle.  Do not exit your vehicle while in the Drop-off/Pick-up line.
• If you need to exit the vehicle, we ask that you park in the lot and walk in the crosswalks.  Please do not leave unattended vehicles in the Drop-off/Pick-up line.
• Pull all the way forward along the curb in front of school and continue as far forward as possible.  Students may enter/exit the vehicle once you have come to a complete stop.
• Students should enter/exit on the passenger side of the vehicle for safety reasons.
• We will have staff members present along the curb to help students enter and exit the vehicle so that you can safely remain inside. 
• Once you have performed drop-off/pick-up, proceed south to Mountain View and exit to the left or the right.

This seems like a lot of procedures, but in reality if everyone follows the simple rules stated above the flow of traffic and the movement of over 800 students on and off campus will be smooth and more importantly safe!
