Due to the emergence of COVID-19, we have had to change our approach when treating students with symptoms of illness. It will be important for you to monitor your child for signs of illness and consult with your medical provider. We are no longer allowed to administer Acetaminophen or Tylenol, as it can mask symptoms of COVID-19.
PUSD is adhering to Maricopa County guidelines. All parents/guardians must sign and return the COVID-19 Parent and Guardian Acknowledgement and Disclosure Form on your child(ren)’s first day of school. If you have specific health questions, please contact administration or the nurse.
WHEN YOUR CHILD WILL BE ABSENT DUE TO ILLNESS
Please call our attendance line or the front office to report your child absnet.
24 Hour Attendance Line: 623-412-4757
Main Phone: 623-412-4750
- When calling the absentee hotline, please be specific about the reason your child will be staying home, i.e. stomachache, fever, cough etc.
- After you call attendance, please speak with the nurse to talk about when your child can return to school. If symptom(s) are Covid like symptoms, your child cannot return until fever free for 24 hours, 10 days since symptoms started and other symptoms are improving, unless a negative covid PCR or Antigen test result is provided to nurse.
- The Nurse may request your child check in through the Health Office for a health screening upon return to school.
