FJHS- Foothills Honor Society
The Foothills Junior Honor Society members must meet high scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship requirements. The purpose of our Honor Society is community service. We have our yearly Christmas Angel involvement and feeding the community through a Pastries for Parents event. Some of the other things we have been involved in over the years have been raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis, UNICEF, donations made to the mentally ill, and participation in our recycling program.
Student Council
Foothills Student Council is an extracurricular activity that helps students attain leadership qualities in relation to their school life. Student Council members are voted into council positions on an annual basis. Students operate with a constitution and bylaws. Through these rules, students raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects, and helping people in need. Student Council students plan, prepare, and execute school-wide celebrations. Each year, Foothills Student Council members participate in the district wide PLUS days and other related leadership activities. Student council members maintain excellent grades, demonstrate excellent leadership, and excellent behavior that align to school rules and expectations. International Junior Thespians Society
The International Junior Thespian Society is an honor society for serious theatre students involved in our Academy program. Membership is lifetime and members earn membership points through participation in Foothills theatre programs. Not only does IJTS involve and engage students in the development of theater related skills, it also encourages a high level of student leadership. [SPONSOR: Mr. Steven Newport]
