Thanks to the hundreds of seniors and dozens of teachers who took time to participate in last Friday night's Senior Sunset, in the Centennial Stadium! Chef Huth grilled cheeseburgers, Student Council shared a slideshow, and our seniors played games and had fun as the sun set on their final year at CeHS. The Senior Award Ceremony, final exams, and senior checkout are all that remain between now and graduation!
Thanks to all of the students who dressed up and participated in Spirit Week! Thanks to Mr. Berquam and our Student Council for the memorable lunchtime activities, assembly, and Powder Puff game. The juniors won the PowderPuff game on the last play, and more than 600 students attended prom at the Wigwam. Congratulations to Prom King Dalton Young and Prom Queen Isabella Ferguson!

Congratulations to all of the Coyotes who represented Centennial at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta! 13 of our students competed in Personal Finance, Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Accounting, and School-Based Enterprise Operations! Mrs. Ottenheimer reports that the trip to Georgia was a great learning experience. Our students visited the Atlanta Aquarium and Zoo, the World of Coca-Cola, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, College Football Hall of Fame, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum.
Nighttime Roof Replacement Underway
-
Thanks to a grant from the Arizona School Facilities Board, Centennial’s 32 year-old roof will be replaced in all buildings except the Small Gym. Crews from Flynn Construction have begun preparing guardrails and stockpiling supplies on campus. Roofing tear-down and construction began last week and continues through December of this year. Flynn will generally work Mondays through Thursdays, from 4pm until 4am, but may flex their days and hours during weeks in which the weather impacts their regular schedule.
