In alignment with many other of our peer school districts, Peoria Unified will implement a requirement that only clear bags may be used at all after-school sports and extracurricular events held at any Peoria Unified high school beginning in 2024-25 school year. Using clear bags enhances safety measures which is a shared responsibility for everyone who attends district’s events at our high schools. It will also streamline the entry process for guests attending these events.
The following bags are approved for entry at Peoria Unified high school events after school hours:
- Clear plastic, vinyl or tote which should not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
- A small clutch, which should not exceed 4.5” x 6.5”
- Clear plastic bags, 1 gallon, resealable
- A clear, sealed water bottle
- A seat cushion with or without a seat back, not to exceed 18” x 18”
Attendees and guests carrying non-approved bags will be required to return them to their parked vehicle prior to entering the gate. District schools will not be responsible for storing personal belongings.
