Class of 2022 Commencement Ceremony

11:30am (Graduates Report by 10:30am)
State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZCentennial is excited to celebrate the Class of 2022 in its annual commencement ceremony, at State Farm Stadium on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at 11:30 am. Graduates must report no later than 10:30am. Friends and family may attend free-of-charge, and there are currently no tickets required and no COVID-related restrictions. CeHS will livestream the ceremony on Centennial PSBN so that family members and friends can view our ceremony from afar.

April 8th: Senior Debt Letters Emailed to Parents
Our school will email senior families reports of any remaining debts and fees. The timeline indicates that all debts must please be paid and all school property – including computers – must be turned in by Monday, May 9th. If you have questions about remaining debts, please call our Bookstore at 623-412-4417. Remember that you can pay fees online by following the directions here.

April 15th: Deadline to Report All Academic & Athletic Scholarships & Awards
Each year, we recognize scholarship, grant, and other award winners in the annual Senior Awards Ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, May 10th. Next Friday, April 15th is the deadline for seniors to report scholarships, grants and other awards and recognitions to Mrs. McMillen in the Career Center. We can only recognize the awards that we know about, so please be sure to tell Mrs. McMillen, either by dropping off this completed form or emailing her at LMcMillen@pusd11.net. Awards reported after the April 15th deadline may not be included in our May 10th ceremony.

April 19th: Mandatory Senior Class Meetings in Cafeteria
Mr. Hollabaugh and Mrs. Steele will meet with graduating seniors during 2nd period to explain the check-out process and the details and requirements of the May 19th graduation ceremony. We’ll also stress the importance of working hard in class, making positive choices, and enjoying the final moments of our school year together.

Our student leaders are excited to announce Senior Sunset on Friday, May 6th! All seniors are invited to join us in the Stadium at 6:30pm to enjoy time together, as well as a free dinner, games, a senior slideshow, yearbook signing, and other fun activities. Seniors can submit pictures for the slideshow by visiting www.tinyurl.com/CeHSslideshow.

Friday, May 6th During the Senior Sunset
Friday, May 13th During Senior CheckoutIn a show of love and support for our seniors, National Honor Society purchased a yard sign to celebrate each graduate! The signs will be printed with students' names on the front. Seniors are able to pick these up during the May 6th senior sunset. Any remaining signs will be available for pickup during the Friday, May 13th checkout in the Library.
May 19th Guidelines for Graduates

Dress Appropriately
Males should wear dress slacks and dress shoes, as well as a collared dress shirt, preferably with a tie. Females should wear dresses, skirts or dress slacks with a dress shirt or blouse. Floor length dresses are discouraged. Please avoid heels and be cautious in your choice of shoes as you will be climbing and descending stairs. Graduates may only wear medals, stoles, and cords awarded by Centennial High School. Centennial distributes regalia in the form of- Cords for students graduating in the top 1%, 5%, and 10% of the graduating class.
- Stoles for the senior officers of the Student Government, designating their position or office.
- Awards from Centennial organizations associated with a national honor society, which require specific grade point averages or other academic measures.
- CTE medallions recognizing students who have successfully complete a full sequence in a career and technical education track and earned the required exam scores associated with the track.
- Art Seal medallions recognizing students who have successfully completed a four-class sequence, 65 hours of community service, and a capstone project.
No other regalia may be worn over graduation gowns.
Do Not Decorate Your Cap and Gown
Graduates must wear the school-approved cap, tassel, medallion and gown without alterations or additional decoration. Tassels should be worn on the right side of the cap.Do Not Bring Phones or Any Personal Items
Graduates may not carry a phone, a purse, or any other personal items into the Stadium. They may carry only their car keys. Security will screen students as they enter.Carry Your Cap and Gown into the Stadium
After screening, graduates will put their caps and gowns on over their dress clothes.Enter Near Gate 1, in the Media Entrance
Click here for a parking map, and plan to park in the West lot. Graduates will walk just south of Gate 1, through the Media Entrance, proceed to the right toward Stairwell 10, and walk down many stairs to the stadium floor. Avoid heels and other shoes unsuitable for climbing stairs. Graduates will also exit via Stairwell 10, upon the ceremony’s conclusion.Find Your Assigned Seat

State Farm Stadium maintains a list of prohibited items on its State Farm Stadium website. The stadium will strictly enforce checking for these prohibited items.Park in the West Lot

State Farm Stadium provides an open seating model and will assist with ADA seating requests.Photography and Video
An official photographer will take pictures of all graduates receiving their diplomas. Handheld video cameras are permitted, but the stadium does not allow video camera stands. As a courtesy to other spectators, please do not leave your seat to take pictures.Exit Via Gate 1
Upon the ceremony’s conclusion, guests will exit via Gate 1. State Farm Stadium asks graduates and guests to refrain from congregating outside of the stadium.
Caps, Gowns and Yearbooks On Sale in the Bookstore

Jostens delivered cap and gown orders to Centennial seniors during lunches on March 31, 2022. Our Bookstore has a limited number for sale. Seniors can purchase a cap ($10), gown ($30), and tassel ($10) while supplies last. These late purchases can be made in the Bookstore with cash only. Families may also contact Jostens directly at 602-765-7227 or visit their store to purchase items, at 14827 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85032.
There is still time to buy a yearbook! A limited number are on sale in the Bookstore, for $75 each. You can reach the Centennial Bookstore at 623-412-4417.
