    Centennial is excited to celebrate the Class of 2021 in its annual commencement ceremony, at State Farm Stadium on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 9:00 am. Graduates must report no later than 8:00am. State Farm Stadium has reduced stadium capacity to promote safety. Each graduate will receive six tickets for parents and family to attend, and tickets will be distributed during senior checkout. CeHS will livestream the ceremony on Centennial PSBN so that additional family members and friends can view our ceremony from afar.

    State Farm Stadium requires all graduates and audience members to wear masks at all times. Gaiter masks are not permitted. Please review the information on this website, as well as the below PowerPoint, which reviews many details of the 2021 ceremony. Administration presented this information to each graduate in mid-April:


May 17th Guidelines for Graduates

  • Dress Appropriately
    Males should wear dress slacks and dress shoes, as well as a collared dress shirt, preferably with a tie. Females should wear dresses, skirts or dress slacks with a dress shirt or blouse. Floor length dresses are discouraged. Please avoid heels and be cautious in your choice of shoes as you will be climbing and descending stairs. Graduates may only wear medals, stoles, and cords awarded by Centennial High School. Centennial distributes regalia in the form of

    • Cords for students graduating in the top 1%, 5%, and 10% of the graduating class.
    • Stoles for the senior officers of the Student Government, designating their position or office.
    • Awards from organizations associated with a national honor society, which require specific grade point averages or other academic measures.
    • CTE medallions recognizing students who have successfully complete a full sequence in a career and technical education track and earned the required exam scores associated with the track.

    No other regalia may be worn over graduation gowns.

    Do Not Decorate Your Cap and Gown
    Graduates must wear the school-approved cap, tassel, medallion and gown without alterations or additional decoration. Tassels should be worn on the right side of the cap.

    Do Not Bring Phones or Any Personal Items
    Graduates may not carry a phone, a purse, or any other personal items into the Stadium. They may carry only their car keys. Security will screen students as they enter.

    Carry Your Cap and Gown into the Stadium
    After screening, graduates will put their caps and gowns on over their dress clothes.

    Wear a Disposable Mask
    As they enter, Centennial will issue each graduate a free Class of 2021 mask.

    Enter Near Gate 1, in the Media Entrance
    Click here for a parking map, and plan to park in the West lot. Graduates will walk just south of Gate 1, through the Media Entrance, proceed to the right toward Stairwell 10, and walk down many stairs to the stadium floor. Avoid heels and other shoes unsuitable for climbing stairs. Graduates will also exit via Stairwell 10, upon the ceremony’s conclusion.

    Find Your Assigned Seat
    Graduates will be spaced six feet apart, in seats assigned by name.

    Diploma Pickup (11am - 1pm in the Centennial Front Parking Lot)
    Stadium mitigation procedures prevent Centennial from distributing diplomas onsite, and State Farm Stadium asks students and guests to refrain from congregating onsite. Graduates may retrieve their diplomas in the CeHS Front Parking Lot, from 11:00am until 1:00pm on May 17th, or in the front office during normal hours, on any school day thereafter.

Guidelines for Parents and Guests

  • Please Wear an Approved Mask
    Face coverings must be properly worn and must completely cover the nose and mouth. Gaiters are not permitted. In accordance with CDC guidelines, face shields are not an acceptable replacement for a face covering and may not be utilized in place of a face covering. Face coverings with exhalation valves or vents are not acceptable for use.

    Review the List of Prohibited Items
    State Farm Stadium maintains a list of prohibited items on its State Farm Stadium website. The stadium will strictly enforce checking for these prohibited items.

    Park in the West Lot
    Click here for a parking map with directions for both general and handicapped parking will be posted on our website.

    Enter via Gate 1, with Your Tickets
    Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. Each guest must have a ticket to be admitted.

    Find Your Assigned Seats
    Guest will sit in pods of two: In a family utilizing each of its six tickets, the six attendees will sit in three groups of two, in the seats indicated on the tickets. State Farm Stadium will assist with ADA seating requests.

    Photography and Video
    An official photographer will take pictures of all graduates receiving their diplomas. Handheld video cameras are permitted, but the stadium does not allow video camera stands. As a courtesy to other spectators, please do not leave your seat to take pictures.

    Exit Via Gate 1
    Upon the ceremony’s conclusion, guests will exit via Gate 1. State Farm Stadium asks graduates and guests to refrain from congregating outside of the stadium.

    NHS Has A Gift For Each Graduate


    In a show of love and support for our seniors, National Honor Society purchased a yard sign to celebrate each graduate! Seniors are able to pick these up during their scheduled checkout time. Any remaining signs will be available for pickup during the Monday, May 17th Diploma Distribution at Centennial, which follows the stadium commencement ceremony.

    Online Graduates: 2:30pm-3:30pm

    In order to receive a diploma and participate in commencement on May 17th, every senior must complete the below tasks to “check out” on May 11th:

        If there is a conflict with the above-scheduled times,

        students may attend a different session than the one linked to their last name.

      Task 6

      • Tickets


        Students who complete all aspects of the checkout will receive their six commencement ceremony tickets. Graduates who cannot attend on May 11th may visit the Bookstore on May 12th or 13th between 7:30 and 2pm to pick up their tickets.

      Senior Awards Ceremony

      • At a ceremony held in the Cafeteria on Tuesday, May 4th, Centennial honored more than 200 graduating seniors who have earned scholarships and awards, enlisted in the military, or completed a certificated track in career and technical education.
