Clap it Up for Baseball and Softball! Heading into the final week of the regular season, both teams are in the mix for their region championships. Coach Kaye and the girls swept Sunrise Mountain last week, winning 6-4 away and 8-5 at home. Coach Williams and the boys split their series with the Mustangs, winning 6-3 at home and falling 4-1 on the road. Both teams host senior nights versus Ironwood on Tuesday (Softball) and Thursday (Baseball) of this week.

Congratulations to 14 Centennial student athletes who signed their National Letter of Intent on Wednesday of last week. We are excited to see them move forward and achieve at the collegiate level: Patrick Camacho (Ripon College / Football), Carter Eiden (Carroll University / Baseball), Jacob Garrison (Concordia Chicago / Football), Javari Hester (University of LaVerne / Football), Charles Kimball (Arizona Christian University / Baseball), Laila Lee (Park University / Volleyball), Braven Lessard (University of LaVerne / Football), Michael Mara (University of Mount Union / Football), Oliver O'Campo (Maricopa Mustangs JC / Football), Zander Pacheco (Maricopa Mustangs JC / Football), James Scott (University of San Diego / Football), Lawrence Scott (Carroll University / Football), Tony Servin (Simpson College / Football), and Alexis Valencia (Seton Hill University / Softball).
Over the last two weeks, Centennial's Peer Counselors have visited Ira Murphy, Paseo Verde, Oasis, Santa Fe and Desert Harbor to provide our 8th grade students with a High School Readiness 101 station rotation! Our peer counselors designed and led the rotations. Future COyotes played Coyote Family Feud, set goals for high school, learned what to expect from classes/homework, and got to know one another and the support they will have at Centennial. Thanks to Peer Counseling for designing opportunities for incoming Coyotes to learn about and honor the spirit of community on our campus!
Theatre Showcase performed their production of "The Audition" for a great audience on Thursday April 7th!
