    Centennial Football

Congratulations to Coach Taylor and Centennial Football. The Coyotes ran out to a 28-0 halftime lead versus Brophy and never looked back, topping the Broncos 28-7 in their home opener on September 9th. Then on Friday night, the boys traveled to Desert Vista High School in South Phoenix for Game 3. The Thunder ran out to a 14-3 first-quarter lead, but the Coyote defense and offense hummed from there. Centennial scored 53 unanswered points to top Desert Vista 56-14. News Around Centennial

  • NHS

Mrs. Bailey, our NHS sponsor, reports that this past Saturday, National Honor Society held its annual kick-off event on-campus. Members came to learn about this year's volunteer opportunities and events and had fun getting to know our new officers for this year and playing games.

    french cafe

Madame Rappold's French I students put their new language skills into practice by performing in café skits. They practiced ordering various foods and beverages and paid the check all in French. We even had a surprise proposal in our romantic café setting!

    yb getting started

Mr Bulter shares that The Coyote Imprint, Centennial's Yearbook Club, has begun creating this year's yearbook! The students are excited to show off all their hard work when the book is released in May. If you see a yearbook reporter around campus or at a school event, make sure to give them a shout out for capturing the memories and moments of this school year! Also, if you have not yet purchased a yearbook, make sure to stop by the bookstore and pre-order yours today!

    colored fire

Ms. Kroner's Honors chemistry students have been learning about atoms and reactivities of elements. In recent days, students have learned that electrons like to be lazy, but you can excite them by giving them energy from heat or fire. To return to their ground (lazy) state, they give off energy in the form of light. Different elements give off different amounts of energy and different colors of light. Friday, students got to see the different colored flames in lab! They had a blast seeing purple, green, and pink fires!
