Congratulations to Mrs. Tucker and Centennial's Bel Canto Choir for earning the Superior with Distinction rating at the Arizona Choral Educators Choral Festival. The students sang three songs for two adjudicators and also participated in a clinic session with one of these adjudicators. In addition to the three songs, students are judged on their sight-reading skills. Bel Canto earned 91/100 points on its performances and 42/50 for its sight singing, easily the most difficult portion of the competition.
Congratulations to the Boy’s and Girl’s Cross Country teams who competed in the district championships last week at Thunderbird Paseo Park.
The boy’s team finished in 2nd place! We wish the boy’s and girl’s teams good luck as they race off to the sectional meet Nov. 3rd and the state meet Nov. 12th.Mrs. Dunham’s lesson on Germany included a little Octoberfestivities celebrating our two German Foreign Exchange students.
