    Centennial is an "A School"!

    Rainbow over Stadium

Last Wednesday, a rainbow appeared over the CeHS Stadium.  Thanks Coach Nowlin for capturing the awesome image! It seems like the perfect image to remind our families that Centennial students, staff, and families again achieved an "A" label from the Arizona Department of Education. You can click here to learn more about our community's "A" grade.

    Centennial Football Peoria

Congratulations to Coach Taylor and Coyotes Football. Centennial topped Pinnacle 45-15, finished the regular season 8-2, and secured a state quarterfinals berth in the AIA Open Division football playoff for the third time in the last four years. The sixth-seeded Coyotes will travel to Chandler on Friday, November 25th, to take on the third-seeded Wolves for a chance to play in the state semifinals!

    Centennial Band

Congratulations to Mrs. Menasco and the Centennial Pride of the Pack Marching Band for finishing 5th in its division this past weekend at Mountain Pointe High School's state festival. Centennial finished 2nd overall in both music and percussion. Thanks to all of our music students, parents, and band staff for their tremendously-hard work this year, and congratulations on the many successes!

News Around Centennial

  •  deca ja 2nd place

2nd Place Winners: Marty Martinez, Joshua Mulai, Dominic Munoz-Cahill, Camden Shafer, Gandi Sandoval

Mrs. Ottenheimer, DECA sponsor, is happy to announce Centennial's success last week at the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge. Six CeHS DECA teams participated out of 150 teams across Arizona. This is the best Centennial has done in over 10 years! The students learn skills in trading stocks in a fast-paced environment. The program helps students understand the fundamentals of the stock market and appreciate the risks and rewards of trading. Every day lasts 60 seconds. Students start out with $500,000 and trade fictitious stocks for 2 months (60 minutes). The JA Stock Market Challenge offers students a taste of what it is like to build a portfolio, manage risk and experience competition.  To prepare for the event, students completed three sessions from Junior Achievement to learn about individual equities, the impact of the economy, and geo-political events that affect market sentiment.
