News Around Centennial
-
On Saturday November 12th, Centennial’s National Honor Society held their Bi-Annual Shred-a-Thon, hosted by City Councilman Michael Finn. Thanks to all of the community members who showed up and donated more than $1,450 to support scholarships for graduating seniors!
In Ms. Beck's Sociology classes, students studied cultures that interested them or that related to their families! What resulted was a culture museum where students provided informational posters, artifacts, and cuisine! It was a great day of learning about multiple cultures and trying different foods! Some of our favorite foods were homemade tamales (Mexico), pierogies (Poland), Spam musubi (Hawaii), and Poutine (Canada)!
