Around Campus

  • Cetennial seniors submitted 322 applications to Arizona Universities last week, during Wednesday's College Applications Workshop! Thanks to Mrs. Allen in the Career Center, our school counselors, and the university representatives who worked together to provide this important opportunity to our students! Last year, Centennial set a school and district record, its graduates earning more than $19.4 Million in scholarships and awards.

    veteran's golf tournament

For many years, Centennial has honored former Coyote Kenny Schall who paid the ultimate sacrifice, dying in the line of duty. Kenny was a proud member of the CeHS golf team. Over the years, many of our current and former teachers and coaches have taught students to honor Kenny.  This year's 14th Annual Kenny Schall Memorial Golf Tournament expanded to honor all military veterans. Around 90 boys and girls golfers hit our home course this past Thursday and Friday!

Thanks to all of the students, staff, and community members who helped Centennial's Future Health Professionals club exceed its goal and donate 55 units of blood last Wednesday! Centennial's next blood drive will be held Friday, January 12th. Donors must be at least 16 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Congratulations to Coach Taylor and Football for their victory over Corona del Sol Friday night! With the student section decked out in neon, the offense kept the Centennial Pride of the Pack Marching Band busy, as the Coyotes ran out to a 42-point halftime lead and moved to 2-0 with a 55-20 final score! Join us this coming Friday as CeHS hosts Mountain Pointe at 7pm.
