361 Coyotes Win Academic Awards
Congratulations to the 361 Centennial students who earned Academic Awards, announced last week during a Main Gym ceremony on campus. A school record 33 students were recognized as Advanced Placement Scholars, while 96 earned their Advanced Placement Pin. Three students pictured above with Mr. Hollabaugh were commended by the National Merit Scholarship Association for their performance on the P-SAT. 2023 Graduate Creates Mural Celebrating the Arts
Many thanks to 2023 graduate Emily Coronado and her family! Emily recently painted and installed a mural capturing the beauty, energy and vibrancy of the arts! Visit the 800 Building to appreciate her work, Emily's gift to our school. The Centennial Arts Department played an important role in Emily's growth, achievement, and enjoyment of high school, just as it will for many other students for years to come. We appreciate your leadership, service and generosity!

Centennial's Spiderman-themed Homecoming Week is scheduled for October 16th through the 21st. We hope students and families will participate in all the fun! On Monday, October 16th, we'll dress as BBQ dads and Soccer Moms. We'll hold the annual family carnival Monday evening from 5-8PM. Tuesday, October 17th is Farmer/Food Day, where students dress up as the producers or the final product! On Wednesday, October 18th, we'll dress as artists and celebrities. Thursday, October 19th is Superher/Villain Day, with the Parade scheduled Thursday morning at 9AM. Friday, October 20th is a schoolwide Black Out with neon class colors for the 2nd Period assemblies. Friday night, Football hosts Chaparral for its final home game of the year, with fireworks and halftime royalty! Finally on Saturday, October 21st, Centennial will host its Homecoming Dance from 7-10PM in the Main Gym. Tickets are still on sale at lunches!

8:20am - 12:20pmCentennial will offer the PSAT/NMSQT test to interested sophomores and juniors on Saturday, October 14th. The Preliminary SAT offers students information on their strengths and weaknesses as they prepare to eventually take the ACT and SAT during Spring semester of junior year. Students who perform well on the PSAT can earn scholarships for college and enter the competition for National Merit Scholarships, the National Hispanic Scholarship, the African American Scholarship, the Indigenous People's Scholarship, and more.
