Join us this week for Centennial's spring musical, Sister Act! Students from across our performing arts department will offer three performances, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night at 7pm in the Auditorium. Admission costs just $7. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to long-time Centennial High School Head Football Coach Richard Taylor, who was presented the Frank Kush Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Football Foundation during a March 2nd, 2024 ceremony. After coaching for more than 14 years in Ohio, Coach Taylor moved to Arizona. Since 1990, he has been Centennial's only football coach, leading the Coyotes to seven state championships and 11 state title games. Centennial senior Hayden Allen was also recognized. The two-time all region first-teamer won the 2024 Lerner & Rowe Scholar Athlete Elite Team award.
We had a great time enjoying a beautiful day and many great Coyote performances at the 2024 Peoria Arts Festival this past Saturday. Thanks to all of the students, parents, and community members who came out to support our artists and enjoy the day!

Congratulations to senior Micah Dorsey for his outstanding performances at the Peoria Arts Festival. Micah earned the gold medal in all four of the ceramics competitionsincluding throwing the tallest cylinder, widest bowl, and a 5-pound vase with a fluted lip. Ms. Jones appreciates Micah's mastery of the craft and his ability to push boundaries creatively. Additionally, his victory in the blindfolded competition spoke to his innate talent and understanding of the medium. Micah's achievements at the Peoria's festival underscore his dedication to his art and his commitment to excellence. It's clear that he is not only a standout in his school but also among his peers in the wider artistic community!

Main Entrance Change During Front Lobby Construction

  • We’re excited to share that this week, our district will remodel the Centennial front office lobby to create a new attendance window. Throughout this time, we will close the main lobby. Beginning on the morning of Monday, March 4th, we will utilize the 100/200 Building Breezeway gates as our main visitor entrance throughout the school day.

All visitors, all parents, and any late-arriving students will enter campus through the Breezeway gates instead of the normal front doors.

The addition of this new attendance window will bring us closer to a single point-of-entry model designed to enhance campus safety. Later this school year, our district will complete a second set of front office modifications that should complete the single point-of-entry plans for Centennial. You may have seen similar modifications on other Peoria Unified elementary and high school campuses.

Our district construction crews hope to complete the work by the end of the week so that we can resume use of the Centennial lobby by Friday, March 8th.
