    Welcome Back Coyotes!

    First Day Procedures

    • Please arrive early as traffic can be busier during our first weeks together.
    • Today and Wednesday morning, students should access their course schedules on StudentVUE (Click Here). Students without online access can visit the Library to obtain a printed schedule.
      • Students’ schedules may continue to change as counselors correct errors and balance class sizes.
    • The small number of students who still need to borrow their laptop must bring a parent-signed copy of this Laptop Loan Authorization form to the Library.
      • Our Library will be open to check out laptops before school, during the first 15 minutes of class, and during lunches.

Welcome from Administration

  • Dear Centennial Students and Families,
Welcome to Centennial High School for the 2024-25 school year, Centennial’s 35th! Whether you’re new to our family or returning for your senior year, I wish you enthusiasm and courage as you pursue opportunities to grow and achieve. I’d like to emphasize some of the ways all of us can make the most of the year ahead:

First, please embrace our values as the road map for your continued success: At Centennial, we honor each other, those who are like us and those who differ from us. Each of us must uphold an environment in which every Coyote feels known and valued. We also honor our school, its many traditions and more than 10,000 alumni. We practice integrity. When faced with difficulty, Coyotes make good choices, proving their character! And we cultivate and celebrate excellence in ourselves and each other. Coyotes strive to be their very best and encourage each other’s success and achievement.

Good attendance is crucial to your achievement! Attend school every day, on time, to ensure you learn at high levels and stay connected with your teachers and peers. Please make it your goal to be here, on time, every day.

Secondly, get involved. Our most successful and connected students are often our busiest! Join a club, try out for a sport, volunteer for school events, or attend games and performances to support your classmates. Students who engage in extracurricular activities build friendships, develop skills, open doors to opportunities after high school, and make lasting memories. Create a rich and varied experience by getting involved this year!

Next, work hard. Dedicate yourself to achieving your academic goals and strengthen this year the habits that will serve you well after high school. Our teachers and staff are here to support you, so don’t hesitate to seek the help you’ll need.

Parents, we partner to support your student’s success. Please reach out if we can assist you in any way. We will provide clear, ongoing communication:

    • Please read this, our weekly newsletter, to keep up with school events and initiatives.
    • Please check ParentVUE regularly for student grades and attendance.
    • Download the ParentSquare app to keep all school communications accessible in one place.
    • Finally, log onto Canvas, our learning management system, to find information regarding each course’s curriculum.

Many exciting challenges and great Coyote traditions await all of us as we start Year 35 at Centennial! Welcome back! Please let me know if there is anything I can do to support you.

    Mr. Hollabaugh
    Principal

Around Campus

  • Congratulations to our coaches and Centennial Spiritline members for outstanding performances at their summer cheer camp! Varsity Cheer Elite placed FIRST in its camp routine and fourth in its spirit routine, winning blue ribbons in its evaluations for each, plus the camp's spirit stick for both nights. CeHS Spirit also won Top Banana on Night 2 and six girls earned All-American designation!

Centennial staff gathered together in Prescott to prepare for the new school year with some teambuilding and friendly competitions in frisbee golf, corn hole, Pictionary, and others. Coach Nowlin was named the MVP as she, Officer Fernandez, and Mr. Hollabaugh finished as the first place team.

Marching Band and Football students held camps close to home and far away. Above, Centennial's musicians prepare for their season in the Small Gym. Football players kneel to listen to their coaches during a camp in California. Fall Sports are right around the corner. Click here to find regular season schedules.

Dozens of Centennial teachers led students to earn more than 180 academic credits during Summer School and welcomed more than 240 of our 600 freshmen onto campus for Summer Bridges, where they learned about our campus' values, resources for extra help, and the many opportunities awaiting them over the next four years.
