Thanks to the Centennial Football Boosters for organizing last Friday's Service Appreciation Night! Military, paramedics, police, fire and other first responders were on-hand to enjoy the game, which began with a tribute to Centennial 2019 graduate Anthony "AJ" Ortiz, an Air Force Airman who died unexpectedly this summer. AJ played football and wrestled at Centennial and was deployed in Jordan, Afghanistan and elsewhere during his five years in the Air Force. His parents are pictured above holding his #5 jersey, along with AJ's sister Valerie (Class of 2024) and younger brothers and current Coyotes David and Mariano. The Broncos won the game 28-14. Centennial is back in action this coming Thursday, with a 7pm home match-up versus Salpointe Catholic!

Centennial will offer the PSAT/NMSQT during the school day on Thursday, October10th, from 7:30am - 11:30am, in the Small Gym. We strongly encourage all college-bound sophomores and juniors to take the PSAT at least once during their high school career. Students who complete the Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test(PSAT/NMSQT) can help pay for college by accessing over $300 million in scholarship opportunities and prepare for important junior year ACT and SAT college preparedness exams. The PSAT also helps to identify students who might find success in our school's Advanced Placement program. Only 200 registrations are available, so sign up soon to reserve your spot! Online registration and the $25 fee are due by Friday, September 27th. The fee is payable in the campus Bookstore.

Around Campus

  • Congratulations to Mrs. Parrish, Mrs. Luque and all of the Future Health Professionals who helped to organize our first blood drive! Students and staff donated more than 50 units to save lives. Be on the lookout for two more drives this year!

Mrs. Kinnaman's Baking & Pastry students wrapped up their frozen desserts unit with a fun garnish activity, constructing Orange Bears and cutting roses out of strawberries.
