Volleyball Wins 6 to Start Season, Wins 4 More and Epic Tournament Title
Congratulations to Coach Orth and Centennial Volleyball! The undefeated Coyotes took a break from regular season competition and won the Platinum Championship in the 2024 Epic Invitational at ASU Fitness this past weekend, defeating ALA-Gilbert North, Flagstaff, Thunderbird and Chaparral on their way to the title. The girls return home this week with contests on Monday versus Casteel and Tusday versus Lake Havasu!
Congratulations to Centennial's August and September Rotary Students of the Month, seniors Jaylei Miller and Abigail Harris! The North Peoria Rotary Club recognized them alongside leaders from Ironwood and Peoria High Schools in a Friday ceremony at Centennial. Jaylei currently serves as the Student Body President of Centennial High School. She plans to attend a university in New England, where she'll major in Business Accounting or Biology Engineering. Abigail is Drum Major of Centennial's Pride of the Pack Marching Band and President of its chapter of the National Honor Society. She has not yet announced her university choice but plans to major in music education and one day teach at the collegiate level. The Rotary club recognized both student leaders for their commitment to "Service Above Self," awarding each a cash prize and donating wheelchairs in their names to benefit young people in need of mobility devices. Congratulations Jaylei and Abbey!

We strongly encourage all college-bound sophomores and juniors to take the PSAT at least once during their high school career. Students who complete the Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test(PSAT/NMSQT) can help pay for college by accessing over $300 million in scholarship opportunities and prepare for important junior year ACT and SAT college preparedness exams. The PSAT also helps to identify students who might find success in our school's Advanced Placement program. Only 200 registrations are available, so sign up soon to reserve your spot! Online registration and the $25 fee are due by Friday, September 27th. The fee is payable in the campus Bookstore.
