November 28 - December 7, 2024
Mrs. Winston’s Ed Professions students saluted these and many other Centennial teachers last week in a Thanksgiving-themed assignment called “Honoring the Best.” Each student wrote a letter explaining how the teacher they chose represents the best qualities in an educator, based on what the class has learned about learning styles, lesson planning, classroom management, building relationships, etc. Students surprised their teacher with the letter and these signs.

The Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) has expanded the FAFSA beta testing to *all* students wishing to complete the 2025-26 FAFSA! This exciting news means all Arizona students can now access and submit the 2025-26 FAFSA at FAFSA.gov prior to the official launch date of Dec. 1.What You Need to Know About the Open BETA
- Students completing the FAFSA during this beta phase are submitting an actual FAFSA form.
- This is the real FAFSA, and FSA is closely monitoring submissions to address any potential technical issues.
- To access the FAFSA, students must create an FSA ID at StudentAid.gov
- If students or families encounter issues submitting their FAFSA, contact the FSA Call center at 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243).

Madame Rappold’s French students and French Club members have carried on a long-standing tradition of creating holiday cards for the homeless. All cards were handmade and written in French. This year, 75 cards have been shipped to the Sakado organization in Montpellier, France. Sakado is a deliberate misspelling of the French word “sac à dos,” which means “backpack.” The organization prepares and distributes backpacks for the homeless containing cold-weather gear, food, and other important items, including a handmade, handwritten card in each one. Our hope is that these cards help lift the spirits of those who receive them and create a connection that reaches around the world.
Right before Fall Break, Japanese Club participated in PUSD's "10,000 Cards for Troops Campaign" by making 225 handmade Christmas cards, each with gratitude and love for our heroes overseas. Thank you for serving!
Congratulations to Centennial Spiritline for advancing to the finals last week and finishing in Fourth Place in the state in the AIA Game Day Cheer competition! Thanks to Coaches Gonzales, Marinaro, Marshall and Zive for helping the Coyotes perform at such a high level and thanks to our parents and everyone who came out to support!
